Where it all started.

The story of The Bulldog starts in 1974, in Amsterdam's red-light district. Henk de Vries opens a place where everyone is welcome and where people can enjoy being themselves: The Bulldog Coffee Shop. The name and company logo was inspired by his dog at that time, a bulldog named Joris.
