WHY COCONUT SHELLS?
Coconut shell-based activated carbon is extremely porous with a large surface area.
This micro-porous structure ensures fast adsorption of odours.
It is a naturally occurring raw material, leaving zero carbon footprint.
Coconut shell has a very low impurity content.
It is very high in hardness.
What does 950 IV mean: This is the iodine number. It determines the porosity of activated carbon (AC), especially its micro-porosity, because iodine molecules are small and can easily reach the AC’s micro-pores. Activated carbon adsorbs iodine very well. A higher number indicates a higher degree of activation, (the typical range is 500–1200 mg/g). So, the higher the number, the better the AC will be at adsorbing odours.
