Soil pH Meter 4 in 1
The 200mm probe and light sensor window provide 5 units of precisely measured results: pH, moisture, sunlight, °C and °F (soil and environment).
The meter also has an LCD display, backlight and auto power off.
This instrument is for measuring the growing conditions of indoor and outdoor plants and is useful in lawn care to determine soil conditions in different areas of the garden and find the correct grass seed.
Measures sunlight (9 levels), soil moisture (5 levels), soil pH (12 levels) and temperature (°C and °F).
Survey light intensity of the current environment.
Fast, accurate measurements.
Comes with 9v battery
pH in Hydroponics:
Plants can only use a nutrient solution if the is pH corrected. Different nutrients are absorbed at different pH levels so some hydroponic growers let their pH drift slightly, always toward alkalinity. In hydroponics, the ideal range for most plants is between 5.2 to 6.2, although some plants prefer extremes in acidity or alkalinity. It is always best to use pH water stabilisers when adjusting the pH of a solution. Always adjust the pH AFTER adding nutrients. Tap water is usually alkaline and the pH can range from 6.8 to 8.2, depending on the local water source.
