Smart Pots
Smart Pots are made from a breathable wicking fabric. The fabric wicks the moisture out of the medium allowing for superior aeration. As a result, the roots of the plant will grow toward the outer edges of the pot. Upon reaching the outer fabric, the roots will be exposed to air, and subsequently die, forcing the roots to branch side-ways. This technique is known as air-pruning and it prevents the roots of the plants from spiralling, resulting in root-bound plants. Compatible with any medium or technique, Smart Pots provide growers with the ability to keep plants in smaller pots for the duration of their cycle.
